International Aluminum Corporation, corporate office in Monterey Park, is seeking a Design Engineer with emphasis on design. THERE IS NO RELOCATION PACKAGE FOR THIS POSITION.

The Design Engineer is responsible for designing of all products in the Residential and Commercial Fields, overseeing the testing, documentation, calculations through art work that is required to implement a product.

Must be able to create and maintain for all products:

• Layout drawings
• Bill of materials
• Operation drawings
• Cut sheets and cut formulas
• Small part drawings
• Isometric drawings for operation details
• Extrusion drawings
• Make 1st article samples
• Thermo analysis

QUALIFICATIONS

• 4 year degree in Engineering with an emphasis in Architectural or Industrial Product Design is desired.
• Experience in working in a manufacturing environment with in-depth hands-on involvement in product design and improvements, assembly drawings, layout drawings, fabrication drawings, cut formulas, and Bill of materials is a plus.
• Strong computer skills with MS Word, Excel and CAD, knowledge of Cadam 2D & SDRC Ideas 3.
• Must be able to exercise good judgment, be well organized, have excellent oral and written communications skills, and meet deadlines and complete work accurately.
